One of the basic tenets of Freemasonry is Relief, more commonly known as Charity, and from the earliest times Freemasons have been taught to help those in distress without detriment to themselves or their dependents, and to give their support to outside charities.
West Chapter’s has a nominated main charity that it will support throughout the year which is CHAS.
This is a core element of the Widows Sons Scotland MRA and we work closely with the Grand Lodge of Scotland in supporting it’s various charities along with various other national & local charities and multiple good causes throughout the country that we will also support and offer assistance where required and able to do so.
